  • How Simulating Wind Turbines Can Accelerate the Renewable Energy Transformation
    Online Event, August 3, 2022

With demand for renewable energy skyrocketing, designing durable wind turbines optimized for maximum power output is essential. CFD enables engineers to virtually assess key design parameters, such as power output under various conditions, wind and wave loads, and downstream wake effects on wind farms. In this webinar, we’ll discuss the tools CONVERGE offers for simulating both onshore and offshore wind turbines, including autonomous meshing, novel rotor models, and FSI.

  • What’s new in Lattice Boltzmann Method?
    Seminar, India, July 27, 2022

Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) is a mesoscopic method for fluid dynamics simulations. Traditional formulation of LBM has a number ofseveral limitations. In this talk, we discuss a number of recent developments, which help overcome these challenges to significantly broaden the application areas for LBM. These developments include an entropic approach to handle numerical stability and higher order formulations to handle transonic/supersonic flows.
