Hi Every one,

I imported a 3d model .dat file from Fluent in tecplot using fluent data loader.

I used sliced function to slice at different planes. Now I want to view these sliced plots in 2D with a scale/ruler/grid on them. How can I do that?

Your help is really appreciated.

Regards,

Hassan

Hello hasanifte,

If you extracted the slice into a zone you can then switch to 2D Cartesian view and make sure that the new zone is the only active zone. Then by going to Options > Ruler/Grid, you can turn on a Ruler, or by turning on the Paper you can then see a grid in the background.

Thanks JerimiahLee.

Could you please guide how to active a particular zone?

Current slice option is not available.

I have created two slices usign Extract > Slice from Plane. Now I would like to view extracted slices as 2D. How Can I active particular zones/slice?

At this point, you should switch to 2D Cartesian, then open the Zone Style Dialog. On this page turn off all the zones except for the slice you want to view. The Show checkbox controls which zones are visible.

Look up the variable number for x-velocity and use it. Say if it's number 17, I would use V17 instead of x velocity.
