Hi, I want to use Tecplot to calculate the vortex core behind a wind turbine blade. I'm using a moving reference frame in Fluent to simulate the flow around the turbine blade. When I read the resulting case and data files into Tecplot I first convert the absolute velocities into relative velocities and then apply the new the new variables:
> Data > Alter > Specify Equations: {v_rel_x}=... {v_rel_y}=... {v_rel_z}=... > Analyze > Field Variables: U={v_rel_x} V={v_rel_y} Z={v_rel_z} But when I calculate the vortex core Tecplot always calculates it using the absolute velocities and not the relative ones that I specified. Does anyone have an idea of how I can use the velocities that I specified?? Thank you, Dorit |

hello,i have found the same problem that the vortex core is invariant even we change the filed variable, have you found a method?please tell me,thank you!
