Hi professor,

I want to use SU2 to simulate a supersonic axial compressor cascade. The 3D mesh file is obtained using autogrid5. And I edit a .cfg file and then compile in CMD. Then, I got a problem as "CGNS reader currently incapable of handling more than 1 database."

Is that suggest that SU2 can not simulate 2D model?

It complains that you have more than one database in the cgns file. You have to limit the cgns to a single database with one mesh. If you need more than one mesh then convert them individually to su2 meshes first.

Thanks very much.

Two confusions for this: a) What does database mean? Single database means 2D mesh?
b) How to Convert the cgns file to su2 file, maybe pointwise?

A database contains a mesh and possibly also the solution on the mesh. If you have multiple databases, you probably have multiple meshes inside one cgns file.
Here is some more high-level info, for more details you can visit the cgns website:

You can convert cgns files with su2. But you still need to write one database per file. This looks like a problem with the creation and writing in autogrid, so maybe check the user documentation of autogrid on this issue.
