Hello everyone,
In SU2, It is possible to select a far-field characteristic-based condition on the far-field markers for the domain in the boundary conditions. What is the meaning of this? The pressure or velocity is prescribed in the domain boundaries? When I select the marker heat flux for my airfoil I know the mean: no slip conditions for velocty and heat flux. But I far field case what is the phisical meaning? Thanks Joao Lourenco |

Characteristics based boundary conditions (Riemann Invariants). U can check few cfd books like by Blajek or check online, lot of literature is available.
Basically information propagation into or out of domain based on flow conditions next to the boundaries. Last edited by aero_amit; July 2, 2018 at 22:32. |
