I simulate a supersonic aircraft with SU2, but it appears there are some non-physical points until the end. I wonder whether the result is credible. Could you help me. Thanks.

Can u tell me more about your config what u are using exactly?

1) Some solvers like AUSM was having problem for CFL=0.9 (EULER_EXPLICIT) when I was simulation a 2D blunt body at M=20. When I reduced the CFL to 0.5 . it was working fine.

2) If you are using steady simulation, by default It uses local time stepping, you may have to add UNSTEADY_SIMULATION=TIME-STEPPING to make it global time stepping. (local time stepping was creating non-physical points for my case)

These are the two things I have done for my case and my problem got solved.

Thanks.!!!

This is my config file. I wonder wherther the non-physical points is related to the quality of mesh?

Config file looks fine for me. As you said, there may be problem with mesh quality. One more thing you can try out is, use MSW spatial discretization instead of AUSM. you can try with out multi-grid also.

This may also help you.

I use the same mesh within fluent software. The hypersonic simulation results is good. But it always appears some non-physical points in SU2. Could someone help me?

Hi Wang
I'm trying to run SU2_MSH for airfoil RAE_2822, but when i'm using mesh_out.su2, i have an error.
Could you please send me a config file (with grid adaptation options) and restart files (i.e flow_solution, adjoint files..) of your case?
Thank you

Hello,Francisco Palacios
I couldn't understand the explanation on YouTubu for my bad English listening. Could you explain again about this question. Thank you very much.
