Dear SU2 colleagues,
I would like to point your attention to the

4th annual SU2 Conference, Varenna, Italy, October 23-24
With the Turbo workshop on October 25

Call for abstracts
Whether you are an SU2 user or developer, student or professional, everybody is welcome to participate in our upcoming 4th Annual SU2 Conference and share their work with our community. Aside from state-of-the-art research, we also encourage you to share code contributions and work-in-progress.
As part of the event, an exciting workshop on turbomachinery flow simulation with SU2 is also organized. Participants will have the opportunity to learn basic and advanced turbomachinery simulation capabilities and make hands-on experience with the source code.
If you would like to present your work on SU2, please prepare a 250 word abstract about your work. The deadline for submitting an abstract is September 1.

Some of you might already have seen that abstract submission is open now, and you can also already register for the event.

Note that virtual registration is free, but on-site participation is of course best for interacting with other researchers and enjoying the wonderful location.

We will aim for 20 minute time slots for the presentation. The deadline for sending in an abstract is September 1, but to get early insights in the number of talks and the final program, please do not wait until the deadline with sending in an abstract.

We already received a number of abstracts and it promises to be a very interesting conference in Varenna this year. If you are working with SU2 and would like to share interesting developments to the community, please send in your abstract before September 1:

Also note that the location itself has limited rooms available so if you would like to have a room at the conference location itself ('Villa Monastero') please register as soon as possible.

The organizers of the SU2 conference do not want to break with age-old traditions, so I am happy to announce that the deadline for submitting abstracts will be extended to September 15!

Although we encourage you to come in person to Varenna, Italy, it will also be possible to join online.

Hi All,
The SU2 Foundation voted to put in place some measures to reward contributors to the code.
This year, we will lower the conference registration fee for contributing professionals to be the same as the student fee.
Furthermore, at the conference, we will award cash prizes (~100E) to the 5 main contributors, in addition to the "contributor of the year" award.
In the coming years, and as we improve our funding, we aim to award more contributors and also increase the award values.
Thank you for contributing to SU2!

NOTE: We see as eligible contributions features, bug fixes, and substantial documentation (tutorial, v&v case).

The submission of abstract has been closed and we will soon communicate the final program. You can still register to participate in the event. Note that you also have to register if you want to participate online.
