Good morning,
My goal is to install the latest v6.0 "Falcon" onto windows - for use only, not for development yet. Having DL'd the windows.zip from https://su2code.github.io/download.html and extracted it I could not see the application installer within the unzipped folder "su2-windows-latest". I previously had v5.0 which came with the application installer, which worked for me. The guidance page https://su2code.github.io/docs/Windows-Installation/ says "Run the installer", which i cannot find in the zip. It seems that either: - the application installer file is missing from the windows zip - i have (probably) missed something obvious I have looked around for a forum with this issue without success. Please advise me on how to proceed. Many thanks, Harry |

Harry,
There was no installer for me either. However, I copied the "ExecSequential" directory into a new folder in my c drive. Say "C:\SU2". I then added "C:\SU2\bin" to my Windows PATH. Then I downloaded the tutorials from the github page and successfully ran the inviscid bump in a channel. Following the directions in the below link. https://su2code.github.io/tutorials/Inviscid_Bump/ All seems good so far. I have not tested any original code, etc. with the above method. But if tutorials run, then all well posed problems should run. Let me/us know if you run into any issues! |
