ANSYS - Stress tools are not available while working with beam

Hi there,
Could any one help me? I want to analysis an steel structure, and I need the result is Equivalent von-Mises stress. But the stress tools are not available (please the picture) The way I create the model is: create 2 point and make a line from them, then I assign cross section to the line, pls see the picture Could you show me the problem here? From the screenshot, it seems you are in the Geometry module. Once you are ready to go with your geometry, you need to go back to workbench project schematic and open the model module.
I strongly suggest that you read the Workbench User's Guide before any further step. |

First, set Beam Section Results = Yes. This is in Mechanical / Outline / Solution / Details / Post Processing.
Then use the options in the Beam Tool and the User Defined Results for models with 1-D line bodies. |
