Hello everyone,

I am using STAR CD (es-ice) to carry out a FULL CYLINDER CLOSED-CYCLE SIMULATION using diesel oil as fuel using 6 hole injector (each holes at two different planes - 3 holes in one plane & other 3 holes in another plane below the first plane). I am ready with the closed cycle polymesh for my engine geometry. To move further with the pre-processing, i am struck with the injection table which needs to be specified for each injector holes. My doubts are

1. What are the parameters that the fuel injection table consist over X-axis and Y-axis ?

2.Will I be able to get a simple injection profile by carrying any theoretical calculation with the known parameters below?

I have the engine speed (2400 rpm), mass of fuel injected per cycle (58.9 mg/cycle) , injection duration (23 CA deg), fuel injection timing (8 deg bTDC), injector hole diameter (0.206mm), Injection pressure (260 bar), inlet air pressure at BDC (1.2 bar) and other data related to engine and injectors.

Please help me out with this. Thank you so much in advance. Your help will be very much needful for me.

Fuel injection table constitutes fuel mass on y axis n timing/duration on X axis.

Also

For the time being u can use a constant fuel profile else u can have trapezoidal profile by simple mathematical calculations, so that 58.9 mg is injected over the specified duration.
