Hello,
I am modeling a floating wind turbine which has to translate back and forth (superimposed translation) but its blades also deform via fluid-structure interaction (morphing motion). As far as I know I can set up a superimposed translation or a morpher to a single region in star-ccm+. Is it possible to apply a superimposed motion as well as a morphing motion to the same region in star-ccm? Pietro |

Hello Pietro
It is possible. You should take a look at the avaliable tutorial under Solid Stress tutorial file in Help. Tutorial name: FSI with Prescribed Solid Motion: Flapping Wing. -The overset wall should be set to morphing with floating type so the overset region will compensate for the displacement of the object. -You can then impose your desired motion. I highly recommend you to take a look at the tutorial. It does an exceptional job explaining the details. Take care |
