Hello,
I am currently running simulations on star ccm+. Unfortunately the scalar scene is coming out patchy. I have attached a photo of the problem. Could the problem be the mesh or is the graphics on the computer? Is there any way to fix this? Thank you in advance.

What exactly do you mean by patchy in the scene? It might be a little clearer if you took a screenshot of the scene....
Otherwise you can also experiment with the contour style in Scalar.

I can't really help you, I guess. But it looks to me more like a simple graphics error. I would perhaps create a plane section or move the existing one a little bit and see how it looks then. Are you using an overset mesh?

it looks like two coplanar surfaces being displayed- maybe from two regions not setup correctly for overset mesh and certainly a user setup issue and not a graphics one. try right clicking in that area and select hide and it will show the remaining faces.
Aeronautics El. K. and dfa like this.
