Issue Exporting from Pointwise to .ccm

Hi there,

I have created a mesh on pointwise and when trying to export as a CAE, it only gives the option to export as a .ccm file, however this isn't a compatible file format to import within star ccm and so it cannot load up.

Has anyone had similar issues or know how else to export from pointwise?

Star-ccm can import .ccm files. Make sure you are importing the volume mesh and not using the import CAE model option in Star-CCM.

Otherwise, you can even export it in pointwise in Fluent format and star can read it, as well as several other formats.

Ah perfect! That was exactly my issue, was trying to import as CAE, thanks!!

Hi , How did you export pointwise CAE file in STARCCM ? will u plz share the steps?

hi, I am A new user in starCCm I want to import my five exported files (faces,boundary,points,neighbour,owner) to have LES simulation, how can I see my mesh in starCCM?
