hello everyone,

im currently attempting to run a fluid-structure interaction simulation. In my model, im attempting to create a solid physics continua, however, i am limited to a set of database materials for the solids and cant figure out how to create a user defined solid material. Does anyone know how i could do that?

Just pick any solid in the database and modify the properties to be whatever you want.

thank you, but I did not have that option. I spent some time playing around with the program and found that custom materials can be added to the database. For anyone else wondering how it is done, in the simulation tab, go to tools -> material databases -> standard -> right click on any of the options and you can create a new material.

I'm not sure how you didn't have that option, it's always available. I can't think of a circumstance where you can't change a material property.

the setting is available for me now, but it wasn't until I created a 'Material Law Model' and assigned it to the solid continua
