Hi,
I´m using the Shape Optimization feature of Star-CCM+. Nice tool Now I have an optimized geometry compared to the original one. How can export this optimized shape (Step, CAD file or something else) in order manufacture a physical model? Another question related to this topic. After some optimization cycles the mesh gets worse and worse for sure and the simulation converges. Is there a possibility to remesh the optimized region? Thanks a lot in advance. br Dominik |

Hi Dominik,
export of optimised shape: -right click on 3D-CAD/YOUR3DCADMODEL/Bodies/YOURMODEL -export. Options available are parasolid (recommended), step and IGES. Mesh: set up your mesh values as scalar field functions of your optimization parameters. Search help for "Creating a User Field Function". Best regards, Guillaume TrampoCFD.com |
