Derivate Equation

Hello.
I would like to know how is the more practical way to insert a partial derivate equation (dT/dx). Thanks. |

The only method of doing this would be to use user coding, and I'm not entirely sure if that's even possible.
You are better off using OpenFOAM for this. |

You can define a user field function and use the operator grad($phi), where phi is any scalar quantity.
The resulting function is the vector: d_phi/dx i + d_phi/dy j + d_phi/dz k So, you can then use any component of the function for further calculations. |
