Dear all,
I have simulated a 3DOF(sway surge yaw) motion response of a semi-submersible. However, I can only get the sway and surge motion recorded. The yaw motion always show 0 deg. Could you give me some suggestion how to get the yaw motion record? Many thanks. I used two linear spring on x and y direction. The x motion y motion and z rotation are the 3DOF which I chosen. The moment of inertia I setted as [1.0, 1.0, 172.85] kg-m^2 for diagonal components. the off diagonal components I set as 0. I use the report 6DOF Body rotation angle and 6DOF body translation to record the sway surge and yaw motion. Sway and surge motion have been successfully recorded, but yaw monitor always show 0. Should I record the rotation angle or orientation? Best regards, Scabbard |

got it
I should record the orientation not the rotation angle. However, could anyone tell me what is the different between using DFBI morphing and DFBI rotation and translation? Many thx. |
