Hi guys,
I have a question about using a third party software in conducting an aeroacoustic simulation. What is the exact advantage of using third party software such as ACTRAN, SYSNOISE,... in performing an aeroacoustic simulation? Why in the ccm+ documentation it is mentioned that these software could be used for such purpose? As far as I know star-cm+ is capable of doing aeroacoustic simulations. Thanks |

they were more important before star had any and then limited aero accoustic features and users would export pressure time histories to use in those codes
but now they are far less required especially with propagation being added to star however they do still have additional features i think like reflection from walls and other surfaces etc |
