isotherms and streamline
I want to show Isotherms and streamline in the scene manu. I know Isotherms = Scalar-temperature. What is streamline? is it Vector- velocity? I want to show it for natural convection of fluid in enclosure cavity. |

Hi, I think what you can do is make a new vector scene, in that click on the Vector Field 1 (for eg) displayer and change the color mode from ''vector magnitude default'' to ''scalar field''..... After that go to the node ''Vector Field'' and change the function to flow direction......there will be another field ''Color Field'' put temperature there....I hope this helps your case!! !!

If I got your question, you need to generate a streamline. Why do no you go to the Drived parts and generate a streamline.
Then go to the scen generate vector scen, and add the generated streamline to the displayer of the Vector scene

Hi Kylee,
You can try the to use "isosurface" derived part option. I think you want to plot constant temperature curves in any plane am i right? For example plotting Mach Contour? Again i think youre not searching a vector plot defined by "temperature"? By the way, Streamlines shows the flow path. Thats all. |

You need to generate a plane section in derived part. Then make a scalar scene and add the generated plane section to the displayers/Scalar of that scalar scene.
Then click on the Scalar. you will see the properties of the scalar. Click on the contour style. change it to Line.
