Today we have switched over the entire www.cfd-online.com site to encrypted SSL using the https protocol. All old pages starting with http:// should now automatically be forwarded to an encrypted https:// address instead.

This increases security and makes it impossible for people to eavesdrop on your communication with cfd-online.com.

I hope that we have managed to change everything on our site from http: to https:. If you notice anything broken please let me know.

It looks like the feature on internal lookup of forum links and subsequent automatic-title adding to link is not working. For example:
edit: And Many-Many thanks for this new feature!

Yes you are correct, this is a bug. I looked at it briefly but I could not locate what is causing this. The forum still replaces the link with the thread title if you use the now incorrect http:// prefix.

I found the bug and I have corrected it. Now links to posts using both https and http should be replaced by the thread title and a correct https link.

I noticed that the problem described in your previous post is now no longer visible after the bug was fixed. This is an SEO feature and it does not affect the content of the post, just what is displayed.

Hi Jonas,

Any chance the settings on the SEO panel can work for both http:// and https:// ? I ask this because I saw just now a post where the link was still pointing to the old address and isn't parsed automatically:

Hmm, strange, I have a clear memory that it did work for both for http and https when I fixed this bug. I'll look more on this later.

Wait! Don't mind my previous comment. I'm sorry, but I didn't notice that the link is outdated, because the post was moved from "openfoam" to "openfoam-solving", hence the SEO not doing its job... since it's outside of its scope.

That said, it does lead me to raise the question: Is there any way to fix these internal links automatically within posts' text for moved threads/posts?

Hi Jonas,

I'm bringing back up this issue, because I'm now certain that I've reproduced the bug again when using "http://" URLs instead of "https://", where the SEO software is not replacing the links with the respective thread titles. Here is an example:

Best regards,
Bruno
