Good morning
i would like to simulate a ship motion to calculate the hydrodynamic forces, sink and trim, but unfortunatelly i don't have any tutorial or *.sim files for understand meshing and boundary conditions. I've see the video in the cd adapco web-site but i need other information to understand better the meshing strategy and the B.C. (expecially at the outlet!!) that i have to use. Anyone have a specific tutorial or file for this request?? Thanks a lot, S. |

Ok, I had tried the tutorial file..but the simulation is laminar and if I want to compute the hydrodynamics forces correctly, I need to run the simulation in turbulent model...and the boundary layer must be modelled very well (y+=50 for wall function). Right??
Have you tried this type of simulation and have you compared experimental to numerical data?? What is the magnitude of error?? More or less than 2%?? Thank a lot S. |
