Dear REEF3D team
I am currently using software to simulate the floating body with the dynamic net wall. My layout is as shown below. net with floating body.jpg I encountered the following issue: When simulating the floating body alone, the results calculated by REEF3D are satisfactory. When simulating the dynamic net wall alone, the calculation completes successfully, and a reasonable result is displayed in Paraview; however, the "REEF3D-6DOF_Net_Forces.DAT" file is not generated. When simulating both the floating body and the dynamic net wall simultaneously, the calculation fails. I am unsure whether the issue is due to the version of the software or if there is an error in my "ctrl.txt" file.Here is the "ctrl.txt" file code: B 10 1 B 50 0.0001 B 90 1 B 92 4 B 93 0.033 0.544 B 96 1.0 2.0 B 98 2 B 99 2 D 10 4 D 20 2 D 30 1 F 30 3 F 40 3 F 42 1.3 F 60 1.0 I 12 1 T 10 2 T 36 2 T 31 0.816 T 32 0.816 M 10 20 N 10 14 N 11 11 N 40 3 N 41 30 N 47 0.25 P 10 1 P 30 0.2 P 40 1 P 42 0.2 P 53 1 P 55 0.2 W 22 -9.81 X 10 1 X 11 1 0 1 0 1 0 X 12 1 X 13 2 X 40 3 X 22 2.364 X 132 0.05 0.6 4.5 0.3 1.0 X 310 4 X 312 2.07 4.45 0.3 0.3 1.136 1.0 151.2 38.1 X 312 6.98 4.55 0.3 0.3 1.136 1.0 151.2 38.1 X 320 13 X 321 0.243 0.0018 0.018 0.0 1130.0 9.0 9.0 X 322 0.51 0.76 4.5 0.3 0.24 0.0 0.0 0.0 X 323 1.6 0.0018 0.5 Thanks for your help! |

Hello Han,
We are investigating the problem and try to report back when we found a solution. What I can advise already, adding the proper moment of inertia using X 24 will help your results. |

How do you simulate a dynamic network alone, can you share the control file, thanks.

Thank you very much for your prompt response! We greatly appreciate your efforts in investigating the problem and look forward to hearing from you once a solution is found. We will proceed with adding the proper moment of inertia using X 24 as advised. Best regards, Han |

Hello Han!
In your control file, I noticed that you didn't use the X 10 1 command, which caused me to not generate 6DOF related files at runtime, how did you solve this problem? |
