Hello everyone, recently I am verifying the scouring effect of a wave on the slope, but I have encountered some difficulties, I hope to get the help of the seniors.
The file used is shown in the attachment(Change the suffix of "geo.txt" and "waverecon.txt" files to “dat” when using). During the calculation of scour, my computer always iterates 1000 times and does not continue. And if I modify S 43 in the ctrl file, the calculation can continue, but the final result does not have sediment scour.
I hope you can give me some pointers, thank you very much.
Attached Files
File Type: txt control.txt (267 Bytes, 13 views)
File Type: txt ctrl.txt (500 Bytes, 13 views)
File Type: txt geo.txt (14.4 KB, 20 views)
File Type: txt waverecon.txt (23.6 KB, 12 views)

Hei, so if understand correctly you are able to run the hydrodynamic simulation fine and once the sediment simulation start the simulations stops.
Could you elaborate on what you mean by

As I was not able to reproduce your problem with REEF3D version 23.12, which version of DIVEMesh and REEF3D are you using?

The REEF3D I use is version 23.12 and the DIVEMESH is version 23.08.
There is no error in running the program, but it will stop computing, the last message like this:

I sadly still can't get REEF3D to be stuck even with the simtime you reached.
What is kind of odd, iteration 1000 is only at 11.2 seconds in my run. Additionally, my timestep is not at a constant 0.015 like in your case, but rather changes around 0.0113.
Could you pipe both the output of DIVEMesh and REEF3D into two files and upload them? That might allow me to find a possible cause.

OK, thank you for your kind help.
The first file is a DiveMESH file, and the second is a REEF3D file. (Number of processors for parallel computations is 40 .)

I don't have a 40 core system available at the moment and therefore can't test your exact setup. Could you try running the simulation with the files you uploaded and see if the problem still occurs?
