Hello Team REEF3D and all members
After I did my scour experiment around Piers due to the current (running time =3600s). I am to trying to simulate my experiment using REEF3D, and I am confused about setting up a time simulation to fit with the experiment. From the Tutorial, I see more options to set up time such as N 41, S 13, S 15, S 19, S 43, S 45, S 46... Please clarify some options that you think are essential for my simulation. In my opinion, I use N 41 3600 (is it correct?) Many thank Andrex |

Hi Andrex,
typically, time scales for sediment and flow calculations are decoupled. The time steps for the flow are much smaller than for the sediment computations. So then for sediment calculations S 19 is the deciding number. N 41 or N 45 can also limit the simulation, but best to only use S 19 for those cases where you want to model a given erosion duration. |
