Hi,
I am trying to merge three blocks of structured mesh around an ogive cylinder, and I was successfully able to merge two of them but the third. I want to export it from pointwise to fluent but, I cannot do it apparently without merging them all first. I am using - Build: Fidelity Pointwise 2022.1 -- Optimized Build 0269090903 (2022-05-09 09:03:00) Linux 64-bit Installation directory: /apps/pointwise-22.1/ I have also attached the pictures and file here. |

You cannot merge the two structured domains in this mesh because the result would NOT form a rectilinear IJ region.
You should NOT have to merge everything to export. Just be sure all domains have the same relative direction (menu Edit, Orient...) and lie in an XY plane (Z normals). I am getting a .cas grid IMPORT error in Pointwise. A visual inspection of the .cas file did not reveal anything obvious. I will need to investigate. Please submit a bug request to Pointwise support. |
