Hi,
Is it possible to input an equation driven curve (e.g. a polynomial equation) into Pointwise? The curve would be revolved to form a surface. Thanks |

Other than the existing curve types, this would have to be done with a script. There exists a general purpose script to do this - the CreateFromAnalyticFunction Glyph script:
https://github.com/pointwise/CreateFromAnalyticFunction You simply need to parametrize your equation and create your own small Glyph file to load into the main script. Look it over and see if this will work for you. I have some experience with this script so if you have questions, let me know. -Chris |

Here is a fun (complex) example of a 4-arg analytic function. It is based on some work done by Chris in other posts.
Please ignore the repositories README.md file, I never updated it. twistedEllipseSurf.glf |
