Hi, I'm working on 2D unstructured grid. As you can see from figures, the grid is about a half of NACA0012. I know that I can use T-Rex to set a "dense zone" near walls.

But problem is that intervals between nodes crease too dramatically after the "dense zone". So I want to fix it. I already tried "tweak". But it takes too much time to tweak each nodes.

So what I want to know is;

Is there any function in pointwise to fix intervals?

Waiting for replies.

What I suspect you're referring to here is the dramatic change in cell size at the trailing edge. This is because you're growing layers from the airfoil but not from the wake connector - the connector attached the trailing edge on the symmetry line. Since the airfoil has a sharp trailing edge, I would suggest also growing layers from that connector so the cell sizes better match there.

Let me know if that helps, Chris

Thanks for your reply, Chris. You are right. I had problems about node-density of a trailing edge but I fixed it setting a wake connector as walls by T-Rex. What I meant to be was that grid right upon the "dense zone" was too coarse. So I want to get this coarse zone to be little more dense, not using a "tweak".

Is ther any way to get any zone to be more dense or coarse which I feel that I need to fix?

Again, thanks for your reply, Chris

I hope you can help me to fix this problem.

There is. Select the domain and go to Grid>Solve, Attributes tab. Increase the boundary decay parameter. Probably start at at least 0.8 but its not uncommon to use 0.90-0.95.

I was going to suggest this in my first reply but I wasn't entirely sure what you were after.

Really thanks! I will try that in the morning today (it is too late in my country now)

Again, thank you for your kindness, Chris
