how can i find average velocity of a particular time directory?plz do tell me as i am a beginner and using version 1.5 of OpenFOAM

Hi,
the utility patchAverage gives you the average of each velocity component Ux, Uy and Uz. To obtain these components from the vector U: foamCalc components U Then you calculate the average on one patch with the patchAvearge utility. patchAverage (U component) (patch name) -time (time directory you are interested in) Hope it can help you Eric |

hi,what is the procedure if in lid driven cavity, velocity varies between 1-2 m/s,what r the changes in 0 folder for U,if anyone knows then kindly inform me

Hi Guys,
Is there any way to find average velocity from sampled data. I need to do this because of two reason.
