Hi all
i want to save the trajectory of a stream tracer.i used save data to save it as scv file but it is too heavy to save all the data (about 7 gig) and paraview crashed during the saving scv file. but i need just the location (point0 point1 point2) and not the other data (for example i dont need the p v ..). is there a way to save just location an not the other data in order to decrease the volume of scv file? many thanks in advance |

Hi,
You can use Pass Arrays filter to leave the unwanted data out. Is your streamline data really over 7GB in size? Can you elaborate a bit more what you're doing? Maybe there is a better way to do it. Best, Mikko |

Hi Mikko
thanks for your reply. i have tried your suggestion but in pass array ,the options that i can choose are: : angular velocity integration times Normals Rotation U vorticity P and i just need the trajectory of streamtracer (i mean point0 point1 point2) ,but in pass array there are not,do you have another suggestion? ps:yes,im calculating the particle trajectory for a lone time and the the data that i want save is huge(about 7 gig) |

Hi Arash,
In Pass Array filter choose all variables to leave them out and then save the result as .csv. Now you should have exactly what you want, the coordinates only. Best, Mikko |
