Hey all!
I was working until a couple of hours ago with OpenFOAM and paraview/paraFoam, until I got a "Segmentation fault (core dumped)" error... Out of the blue! I have different versions of OF (2.2.2, 2.3.0 and 2.3.1) installed, and paraview/paraFoam crashes with versions 2.3.0 and 2.3.1, but gives no problems with version 2.2.2. When running the commmand >gdb paraview >run I get the following error... Starting program: /home/ricardolb/OpenFOAM/ThirdParty-2.3.0/platforms/linux64Gcc/ParaView-4.1.0/bin/paraview process 24118 is executing new program: /home/ricardolb/OpenFOAM/ThirdParty-2.3.0/platforms/linux64Gcc/ParaView-4.1.0/lib/paraview-4.1/paraview Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/gdb/auto-load/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6.0.19-gdb.py", line 63, in <module> from libstdcxx.v6.printers import register_libstdcxx_printers ImportError: No module named 'libstdcxx' [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] Using host libthread_db library "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libthread_db.so.1". I have looked around here and there in the forums and I must say I am pretty lost (considering paraview works in the OF2.2.2. installation, for example...). Greetings, Ricardo |

I solved it...! I simply deleted the folder "~/.config/ParaView"... (found here: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...-3-10-1-a.html)
Now I can forget the morning lost figuring this out...! Greetings! Ricardo |

These kind of errors are quite complicated to find out for non specialist of Linux. I have one currently in another post but I just gave up because I have found another way to use paraview one WSL bash
