Hi,Flowkersma
Many thanks for your information. May I ask that why not only one values are added even for a select point? it means that there are many points?I think it is better to use one. Also, I am not so understand about put "%.2f" .You mean put these cahracters to the values behind? |

Hi Jingxue,
If you have a scalar value then you should see only one label per grid point. For a vector you should see three values. If you click the wheel icon "Edit selection label properties" a new menu pops up where you can modify the label style. %.2f is a Python string format operation |

I have the same problem with Jingxue Wang. I followed your suggestions and the contour lines (for fluid pressure) are labelled successfully. However, after the contour lines are labelled, the contour lines are sheltered by the nephogram of the fluid pressure. Have you ever encountered this problem? Regards, Kuang |

Hello guys!
The wheel is beside "Selection color". Click on it. Then, you'll find "Point label format" on the bottom of the window. Just enter "%.2f". Best, Gittagawa |

This question was from 2015, has there been any improvements in paraview to label contour lines? This is a very importatnt visualization feature, hopefully something new is available. Flowkersma's method works, but the mouse pointer will only snap to a point in the mesh. Thus, if the contour line doesn't pass through or very near to a mesh point, I can't label the contour line. |
