Hi all,
I'm working on a 9month long research project concerning to simulation methodology research of low speed fan in OpenFOAM. The main goal is to test the methods (RANS, URANS, LES, DES) to find the most suitable one to predict the broadband and tonal noise. The first step is to build the knowledgebase on fan simulations in OF. The flow is incompressible and isothermal, the domain has two stationary and a rotating frame. Is it possible to simulate this case using the official OF 2.0.1 or do I have to use the extended version? All advices are very welcome! Thank you in advance! |

To do complicated rotating machinery reliably and with a reasonable speed, you will have to use the GGI sliding interfaces in the latest extend version.
