I'm a beginner in moving meshes and generally speaking I'm experiencing a lot of difficulties in finding up-to-date documentation for openFOAM dictionaries.
Does anyone know where to find dynamicMeshDict documentation for openFOAM 1.7.1? I'd like to move the tutorial movingCone in to a rotatingMovingCone. Thanks in advance. |

You generally have to look at source code and previous examples.
Check out $FOAM_SRC/dynamicFvMesh/solidBodyMotionFvMesh/solidBodyMotionFunctions for the source code. SDA is fairly easy to understand. The read() function more or less tells you what you need in your dynamicMeshDict and the transformation() function is where it makes things move. |
