Hi,
i would like to make a simple question:
I made a chemical simulation with reactingfoam and I showed it with paraview. I made some graphs with the filter plot over line, for example I plotted the velocity or the concentration of the reactants and products over the distance along the simmetry axis of my burner. The point is: I would like to create the same plots with other better programs, so I would like to know if there is in paraview the possibility to export this data as with fluent in the way to manipulate them!
I tried to look in the paraview wiki but i didn't find what i was looking for.
THank you for your help
Bye
Emanuele

Maybe the better way is to use the sample utility from OpenFOAM to write out the data along the line as ascii file?

search for a "sampleDict" file in the tutorials folder. Then it should get clear how to define.
And call the utility "sample" from the command line

I was running into the same problem with the plot over line filter. Turns out exporting data for this plot and some other ones is fairly simple. On the pipeline browser make sure you have selected the filter for plot over line, then you should be able to see a row of four buttons at the top right corner of where your graph should be, click on the one that shows two rectangles one over the other (split vertical) and pick spreadsheet view, you should get a spreadsheet with your different values. Once that is visible you should be able to go to file>export to export your data as a .csv file. Hope that helps.
