Hi,

Urgently i need to learn how to set up DES and DDES turbulence models for my own openFOAM case. Looked for tutorials cases as well, but could not find any.

really really appreciate if someone can guide me how to learn this

There are a few that I know of... at least for openfoam+. Here's one for a cube of sorts: tutorial. And here's one for a hill of sorts: tutorial.

Thank you very much for your generous reply. i went through them and if dont mind , can you tell me how you learnt to set up those case files for IDDES so that i can set up DDES for my own case ?

Those tutorials are simply supplied with OpenFOAM so I didn't set them up. Given that IDDES is simply improved DDES though (if I remember correctly) it could be worth trying one of the tutorials with DDES and seeing what happens to start... someone else with more DDES experience can likely give better advice in that regard.

Hi,


method of changing DES to DDES or IDDES to DDES is the thing i dont know :/
i am still going through the internet and finding away to learn how.
hopefully someone will see this thread and help me out
