I was doing an example that I found on the internet, square tube, and I noticed that my simulation did not converge with the precision that converged in the example. (the example used the same parameters as simpleFoam/pitzDaily)
I noticed the error was in fvSolution. And the bad precision of the convergence was because of the Simple algorithm, which had not put the: "consistent yes" and the residualControl. But my doubt is to know why this? why do i have to put the consistent and the residualControl so that it converges right? |

I found the solution. In general it was a pretty dumb question.
When using consistent I was enabling the SIMPLEC method and it has a convergence gain between 20% to 30% compared to normal SIMPLE, so the convergence in my solution was faster. |
