Hello Foamers,

I am quite new to OpenFOAM. I ran a simulation for flow past a circular cylinder at Re = 3900 in some PC at other place (remote access). Now it is completed and i want to do post-processing and view paraView results in my laptop. I cannot copy the whole folder (including VTK) because the file sizes are so large.
Please feel free to ask any information if needed. Also, i tried searching it on internet but could not find any useful information. Kindly suggest if you have any.

Can someone help in this issue?

It depends what you want to observe in paraview. The minimum that is required is probably the 0, constant, system and last time directory when executing parafoam. You can also run it with the paraview command which requires less files but not sure exactly. Here you need to first create a dummy file that is loaded: "touch dummy.foam"

Paraview supports post-processing on remote server.
1. Run 'pvserver' on the remote server
2. Open paraview on the local computer (your laptop)
3. Click 'Connect' in paraview
4. Click 'Add server'
5. Change the 'Host' to the IP address of the remote server
6. Click 'Configure' and connect the server
