Hello Vignesh,
Overset is implemented in openFOAM v1706 and above (ESI branch). I would recommend the latest version (v1806) since there were some bugs in the first version. About tutorials, I think tutorials/multiphase/overInterDyMFoam/floatingBody is what you are looking for! |

There is also an overset mesh version in the foam extended fork.
https://foam-extend.fsb.hr/blog/2017...n-foam-extend/ I tried it out and this version is a bit faster than the one implemented in OF1806. The concepts are a bit different. |

Hi,
I'm trying to implement an overset grid for solving my problem, for multi-cylinder. can anyone point me to any tutorial or provide me with steps and explanation on implementing overset mesh in openfoam2206. I am facing difficulties with blochMesh for body cylinders and also facing difficulties to run the simulation. Looking forwards for your response. Thank you |

Hello,
You can start with the documentation: https://doc.openfoam.com/2306/tools/...erics/overset/ There you will find a list of overset solvers, you can then go to the tutorials directory and explore tutorials corresponding to these solvers to find something close to what you are trying to achieve. Hope this helps, Yann |

You can have a look here regarding the cylinder https://wiki.openfoam.com/Vortex_ind...ichael_Alletto
And overset. I think using the two rotor tutorial will help you to find a way to use multiple cylinders Best Michael |
