which MPPICFoam submodels to choose

Hello friends
using the MPPICFoam one can choose between three MPPIC sub-models in kinematicCloudProperties: packing model, damping model and isotropy model. can anyone guide me which ones to chose for different cases? in the tutuorial folder different combinations of models are used for example cases. P.S. I use OF2.3.0. In my current case I get the desired results only when using isotropy model. Also the particles diameters are larger than grid cells which, as I read, can make errors in interpolation functions used in packingModels. Last edited by hrhm_04; September 18, 2017 at 13:42. |
