I would like to get some suggestions as to which one (OpenFOAM v4.1 or OpenFOAM v1612+) should be installed on a large supercomputing cluster?
1)Which one is easier to be maintained on the cluster? 2)Are both of them compatible with each other? Is it possible to compile the code made on one on the other one too? Is it possible to open a case made on the other? 3)Based on the features/solvers which one is preferred for a large variety of users? I did get some idea about OpenFOAM and OpenFOAM+ from here: https://sites.google.com/site/olafoa...oamenvironment But that does not answer my concern. So please share your suggestions. Thanks, Ronith Stanly. |

1) Should be no difference since both have basically the same core.
2) Yes 3) I use OpenFOAM v4.1 but see no reason not to use the other one. |
