Hi!.

I am working on a Channel case with a cube. I got my results and I would like to start a new simulation which its domain size is bigger than the first one. So, I used mapFields but the results are not good. I have tried with the different options (-consistent, mapFieldsDict ... different mapping methods ) but maybe I haven't done in the apropiate way.

I attached an slice and 'isometric' view that shows my problem.

I really appreciate your suggestions.

Hi,

I don't think that mapFields is meant to scaled geometries. Still you can develop a solution by scaling your mesh without changing the order or number of cells and then you can map your fields from the new scaled mesh to the target (shown) mesh. You can scale your geometry by the utility transformPoints or similar solutions (just backup your fields somewhere safe).

Good luck

Hi.

I am trying to use the option -region <name> with the utility transfor Points. I would like to scale this utility to an specific region in my domain. My problem is that I don't know how to specify, and create, the region. I tryed wiithin blockMeshDict, in the part of blocks, but it creates a file .gz called cellzones.

Does someone know how to use this option in transform Points?
