Dear Foamers,
How can I make turbulence model which be capable to distinct between lam- inar and turbulent zones. In other way, how can i set laminar flow in one zone and kEpsilon model in the other zone. Thank you for your help |

Sepaprate your surface in two areas, one for laminar and one for turbulent.
Apply the value zero for your wallFunctions in the laminar regime and non zero for the turbulent ones. Think this is the way how to set fixed transition. |

for example in your k file
laminarPatch { type kqRWallFunction; value 0; } turbulentPatch { type kqRWallFunction; value 1.5; } same for epsilon, omega, nut, what ever you want! |
