Hello,
I am doing validation case study for lateral sloshing in 2D sloshing tank using OpenFoam. My case is only involved sway motion (y-direction) I am trying to validate my results with previous paper by plotting Pressure vs Oscillation Number (t/Tsloshing). Paraview plotted the graph as shown in image 1. The p_rgh value is quite high comparing to existing data. assuming the value is is the gauge pressure, I neglected the atmospheric pressure and get the graph in image 2. As you can see in image 2 the black curve in the graph is my result. But still the result did not satisfy the existing data. Can anybody help me how to figure out what is wrong here? I am a newbie in OpenFoam as well as in CFD. Thanks |

Hi,
sounds interesting. Would you mind to tell us a bit more about it? Best regards, Kate |
