Hello everyone, I need your help on a small problem.
I'm trying to simulate an air jet (in preparation for a flame combustion simulation) with a compressible solver. Unfortunately, I'm getting some illogical results - even though the pressure and temperature fields are reasonable throught the domain, the density doesn't change a bit. I checked the range of density values and it's [1,1]. Even though the density change shouldn't be very large, perhaps a percent or so, it seems completely wrong that it doesn't change at all. As far as I understand, if the pressure and temperature change, the density should change as well. Since I'm using the predefined solver without any modifications, I can only assume the problem is in my boundary conditions. I am attaching my case with all the files in hope one of you might be able to identify the mistake and help me. SOLVED!
RhoMax in fvsolution was set to 1.0. The density of air in normal conditions is around 1.2 kg/m3. |
