Hye Foamers i have a great idea to make a new discussion group for Openfoam. we will set a time to discuss our problems. we will set time in GST or official US time so that everyone can be available at same time. the main purpose will be to learn from each other. So guys the next step is write your skype id in comments. mine is engineer.usman155.

Actually, I think that your idea is great, but just I am wondering why nobody has replied so far? Someone else out there interested in a Skype group?

Greetings to all!
Real time conversation, either text or voice, can take some considerable time. Sometimes emails/posts can take considerably longer, but the possibility of going off-topic over a live feed is higher. Nonetheless, there has been for quite some time a dedicated IRC channel for OpenFOAM, which is documented here: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/FA...ut_openFOAM.3F There have also been some past efforts to bring people together over the internet, such as these:
Beyond that, sharing contacts publicly can make us easy targets for spammers. Nonetheless, those who do wish to automatically and permanently share their Skype contacts, can easily do so in their own profile settings: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/pro...do=editprofile Personally, I only use Skype for business meetings and real time conversation on-a-need-only basis. For helping out people with OpenFOAM, I already spend waaaaay too much time here on the forum and writing wiki pages at openfoamwiki.net . And I try to keep posts in the public forum, because I hate having to repeat myself Best regards, Bruno
