Dear All,

I found that OF only has dynamic Smagorinsky model for incompressible LES, and it does not have the dynamc version for compressible LES. Does anybody know why OF does not provide the dynamic version for compressible LES? Thank you very much !

It is very simple to convert the incompressible dynamic Smagorinsky model to the compressible. just compare the source codes for compressible Smagorinsky with the incompressible Smagorinsky. you can find the differences easily and modify your code.

But keep in mind that the dynamic Smagorinsky that is implemented in OF uses global average instead of local average.
if you want to use dynamic Smagorinsky SGS model proposed by Lilly (1992) then you should download and use dynamicSmagorinsky that is modified by Alberto Passalacqua.
