This utility creates scalar fields of Advection & Production of Turbulent Kinetic Energy by reading U, R & k files.

Usage Instructions

  1. Extract the zip and paste tkeFoam folder to /opt/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/applications/utilities/
  2. [In Terminal] cd /opt/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/applications/utilities/tkeFoam/ and then wmake
  3. After compilation use "tkeFoam -latestTime" or "tkeFoam" in your case.
Hope it will be useful

This is only good for RASModel. How to implement this one in LESModel?

Thanks

Obviously it cannot be used for LES.

From the data set you generate using LES - will have all the fluctuating and mean quantities - so you could write your own utility using the syntax provided in the Programmers Guide.

Would it be possible to rewrite this utility for OpenFOAM 4? The files that are set to #include in this utility are not in OpenFOAM 4.

Hi,
I have tried to compile tkeFoam in OpenFOAM 5.0 but unfortunately, it doesn't.

My guess is that in OpenFOAM 5 calc.H is not available. It might to be loaded with a different name. Could anyone figure it out

Thanks
