Questions about OpenFOAM, ParaView and DSMC

hi
I have installed openfoam2.1.1 and I am a bignner in the openfoam and I have some question: 1-what differnce between open foam and paraview? 2-I run paraview but I can't see any Icon for openfoam!!? 3-where can I find some example for paraview or open foam? 4-how can I install the DSMC in to the liberary in openfoam? |

Greetings Hadi,
OpenFOAM is a CFD toolbox. ParaView is usually the only GUI Post-Processor provided with OpenFOAM. DSMC comes pre-installed with OpenFOAM. For more, you better start reading the User Guide: http://www.openfoam.org/docs/user/ Good luck! Bruno

Hi,
you might want to read Getting started with OpenFOAM do not bother that highest OF version mentioned in that text is OF-1.7 Advanced Paraview Tutorial http://sourceforge.net/projects/open...rle_slides.pdf gives you an idea about paraview |
