Hello all,
I am trying to do bubble column simulation in reactingMultiphaseEulerFoam of openfoam 7. In that the default water phase dia is 1e-4 and air phase dia is 3e-3 m. If I give water phase dia 1 and keep the blending as none and continuous Phase as water, the simulation diverge. However, in multiphaseEulerFoam in openfoam 5, I ran the simulation successfully with the above-mentioned values I understand that that if I equate surface tension force and buoyancy force then for a nozzle dia of 1 mm , the air phase dia comes out as 3.73e-3 m. Can you please help me in the logic of selecting water phase dia as default 1e-4 m. Also can you guide me as to select the parameters in the phase properties so that I can run my simulations with air dia as 3e-5 and water dia as 1 keeping the interphase compression 1. I have a hunch that it might related to the blending and selection of drag model. Any help would be much appreciated. |
