Hello guys.
I am not good at English, so there may be some awkward parts in the question. I would appreciate it if you could understand this. I calculated with OpenFOAM following the same weir case as the paper, but I don't know if this result is correct. The turbulence model used k-w SST. The flow away from the weir end is different from the picture in the paper. I think it's normal if the same flow as the attached second picture continues to come out continuously. However, the calculated flow converges after a certain period of time, just like the picture I calculated in the first picture. The attached second picture is described as a capture of the instantaneous flow in the paper. I want to know if the weir case I calculated is well calculated, is there a post to refer to, or I'm wondering if you guys have any opinions. Thank you for reading my post. |

You are experiencing a problem that also happens on physical experiments: lack of areation behind the jet. Make sure to leave a pressure inlet in the jump region in order to allow air to enter.

For me, it looks like you used a sReynolds number much lower than in the reference work. Could you give the numbers, please?
